Do I need to have a sensitized nervous system to take this course?

No — but this course is most helpful if your nervous system is still doing a lot of work behind the scenes.
This course is designed for people who spend a significant amount of time managing their internal state — trying to calm themselves, fix themselves, regulate, avoid discomfort, or get back to “okay.”

You don’t need to be in crisis or highly symptomatic. But if your energy is still oriented toward control, vigilance, or recovery rather than living, creating, or expanding, this course will likely land.
If you’re already moving through life with ease, trust in your body, and very little focus on regulation or self-management, this course may feel unnecessary — and that’s a good thing.

Will this course cure my chronic illness/pain?

This course isn't symptom-specific and doesn't treat or cure any illness or condition. It teaches you how to stop reinforcing the alarm response in a sensitized nervous system—that's it. Whether your chronic pain or illness is connected to nervous system sensitization is something only you can determine. For some people, symptoms resolve as their nervous system desensitizes. For others, there may be factors beyond sensitization at play. This course is not a substitute for medical care.

Will this work if I'm also in therapy/on medication?

Yes. This course isn't a replacement for therapy or medication, and it's not in conflict with either. What you're learning here—how to respond differently to your nervous system—can work alongside whatever else you're doing. That said, any decisions about therapy or medication should be made with your healthcare provider, not based on this course.

Can I ask Maggie a question or get 1-1 coaching?

No, this course doesn't include 1-1 coaching or direct access to Maggie. Direct coaching while sensitized wouldn't be a good use of your time or money—Maggie would just be reminding you to do what's already taught in the course. Even if your situation feels very specific, what you need to do doesn't change based on your circumstances.

Maggie will offer coaching in the future, but it will be geared toward people dealing with stress, burnout, or general dysregulation—or for people who have already desensitized their nervous system and are ready for that kind of work.

It's that a 10-minute video can introduce a concept but it can't cover all the ways people commonly misapply it, the specific moments where the nuance matters, or what it actually looks like when you're standing in your kitchen at 2pm trying to do the work and not sure if you're doing it right.
